Contratti were tasked with the refurbishment of booth seating and nightclub furniture for Bittersweet Nightclub, located just off Carnaby Street in Soho, London. Bittersweet, has been one of the most iconic nightclub landmarks in London since the 1950’s. It was formerly known as the infamous Pinstripe Club where John Profumo met Christine Keeler. Now a Cocktail Bar & Member’s Club, Bittersweet’s booth seating was in need of a refurbishment to transform the interior into a high class, diva-inspired luxurious night spot.
Contratti’s first task was to refurbish the existing modular nightclub furniture, together with the wall panel and roof panel upholstery within the private VIP booth seating vaults. The upholstery was carefully selected to reflect the intimate and cosy atmosphere of the venue. The chosen materials for the nightclub furniture and VIP booth seating ranged from an expensive raspberry leather from Scottish leather specialist Andrew Muirhead, combined with a pink suede fluted upholstery in the roof, to space-age silver faux leather from Spectrum Vinyls, with matching silver suede roof upholstery.
In addition to supplying and installing nightclub furniture and booth seating, Contratti were also tasked with making good some old 1990’s stainless steel coffee table style bases. Using our powder coating option, the tables add a stunning feature to a truly fantastic venue. Contratti were once again proud to be working with world famous award winning designer, Darren Grapes of Grapes Design. Having won last month’s Bar & Restaurant Award for The Dirty Martini Cocktail Bar in Mayfair, London, the challenge was set to raise the bar even higher.
